The Night the Music Lived, Buddy Holly Tribute

A Tribute To Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens & The Big Bopper. On February 2nd, 1959, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper performed at The Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. The plane crash that occurred hours later changed music history forever.

The Night The Music Lived recreates this final concert of these three influential musicians with the utmost attention to detail and accuracy. Deep Freeze Fest

The Deep Freeze Fest will transform the LBIF gallery into a cozy winter wonderland with live music, a German-style pretzel bar, fire pits & s'mores, snacks, plus cold brews! On Friday, January 25, 2019 from 7 PM – 10 PM, this community fundraiser will benefit the LBIF to help maintain year round programming for the arts & sciences so bring your friends!

Season Of Light

Season Of Light explores the reasons humans are so fascinated with lighting up our lives during the December holiday season. The movie is an exploration of the astronomical meanings behind seasonal traditions, including the "Star over Bethlehem", and an elegant and sophisticated program about the coldest and darkest of seasons – a time which holds some of the warmest and brightest celebrations of the year. The show recounts the historical, religious and cultural rituals practiced during the time of winter solstice – not only Christian and Jewish but also Celtic, Nordic, Roman, Irish, Mexican and Hopi.

After the movie, our live presenter will give you a tour of what you can see in the skies above NJ. Recommended for ages 7 and over.

Let It Snow

“Let it Snow” features a new variety of festive classics from Frank Sinatra and Chuck Berry to Burl Ives and Brenda Lee, and includes a stunning multi-media finale by the Trans Siberian Orchestra. The soundtrack is visually enhanced with thematic animation, laser imagery, special effects and all-dome scenery in the audiovisual setting of the Planetarium. The 32-minute program is a fun and entertaining experience for all ages, especially families.

The Affair at Cedar Bridge

Join us for the Sunday, December 16 at 12:30pm, for the reenactment at Cedar Bridge Tavern Historic Site, 200 Old Halfway Road in Barnegat, commemorates, what is considered the last skirmish of the Revolutionary War. The skirmish, which took place across from the old Cedar Bridge Tavern was actually a "civil war" between a band of American Loyalists, headed by Captain John Bacon, a renowned privateer and Pinelands bandit; and American Patriots. The last of the Loyalists were "refugees" hiding out in the Pine Barrens near Manahawkin.

It is definitely the last battle of the 'civil' war that raged in New Jersey during the Revolution.

This is a free public event.

This truly "heaven-sent" holiday treat will lift your spirits and fill you with nostalgia for a bygone era of classic music sung in perfect harmony. Sprinkled among the Christmas offerings are audience favorites, like their riotous three-minute-and-eleven-second version of The Ed Sullivan Show – this time, featuring the Rockettes, the Chipmunks and The Vienna Boys Choir, as well as a Plaid Caribbean Christmas that puts the "Day-O" in Excelsis!

The Stafford Township Arts Center is a state-of-the-art facility featuring ergonomic seating and professional sound, video and lighting equipment located in the Manahawkin section of the township. The Stafford Township Board Of Education now programs and manages the Stafford Township Arts Center (STAC.) STAC has offered performances by legends such as Rita Moreno, Joy Behar, the Garden State Philharmonic, The Atlantic City Ballet, and many many Doo Wop Groups. The Stafford Township Arts Center is no longer managed by the Education Foundation. The Arts Center is now operated by the Stafford Township School District Board of Education. The Stafford Township Arts Center was formed to serve as a cultural center for the arts, and to act as a resource for children, adults and artists who seek to improve their lives thourhg arts education and programming. The Stafford Township Arts Center is both a live theater facility and a performing arts conservatory. As a live theater facility, the STAC provides opportunity for local artists as well as featuring top rate national acts.

The intent of the film is to show the unfiltered life of Andy Irons, one that was filled with energy, passion, success, and challenges. Challenges that pushed Andy to the brink and were both the best parts of Andy and the hardest to handle. The filmmakers, Steve and Todd Jones, wanted to create a film that captured the true essence of Andy Irons - his family, & his friends.

Revolutionary Tea

The Tuckerton Seaport and the New Jersey Council for the Humanities invite you to Revolutionary Tea with Stacy Roth on Thursday, November 15 from 1pm-2pm.

Why was tea so important in the lives of 18th-century people that fashion-conscious family posed for portraits with their tea sets? Did Great Britain lose her American Colonies over “the cup that cheers?” Find out in this unusual costumed presentation of tea lore featuring history, poetry, a living history display, and demonstration.

When you are finished with the tea talk, stop into the Seaport's own Steampunk Tea Room in the historic Captain's House!

Legend of the Jersey Devil Show

A live concert of bluegrass and country music by regional musicians from the tri-state area. On November 3,2018 the Jersey Devil will make an appearance at 8:00 p.m. at the Albert Music Hall during the Saturday night musical show. This Jersey Devil is a friendly devil who loves to entertain with his dancing and fun loving antics.

Refreshments including hotdogs, cakes, pies, coffee, tea and cold drinks available for purchase all for a very reasonable price. The gift shop will be fully stocked with all kinds of Jersey Devil souvenirs in addition to cowboy hats, tee shirts, books and Cds. Plus 50/50 tickts are available for purchase. In addition to the main show in the hall there is also a pickin' shed and the front porch with musicians pickin banjos, mandolins and guitars (where all are welcome to jam if you bring your instrument) ...MUSIC EVERYWHERE!!

2018 Atlantic City Tattoo Expo

Good Time Tricycle Productions & Lucky Street Tattoos will return to Bally's Atlantic City on November 2-4 2018! One of the Northeast's longest-running tattoo events continues it's tradition of art and ink for a weekend of fun that is, yes...for the whole family!

Otherwise known as “Drawin’ the Wild Card,” The Atlantic City Tattoo Expo will take over the 6th floor ballroom of Bally’s and will be surrounded by casino gaming, amazing eateries and a 1200 room hotel, making this a perfect spot for the 2018 event. 5,000 plus attendees are expected to assemble over the weekend, invading this gaming space for the love of ink and entertainment.

While the main focus of the expo (www.actattooexpo.com) is the opportunity to meet and get tattooed by over 100-plus tattoo artists from around the globe, the expo also offers live entertainment, tattoo contests, seminars, parties, meet and greets and unique exhibitors including a variety of clothing, jewelry and novelty vendors. The event also promises to astonish and amaze with its side-show entertainers and the return of the ever-popular “Stupid $hit People do for Money”! This year’s event will also feature a tattoo artist gallery, fun interactive programs, stage shows and so much more you wan't want to miss.

The Atlantic City Tattoo Expo is open to the public and held in the 6th Floor Ballrooms at the Bally’s Atlantic City, Friday, November 2nd, 5pm-11pm, Saturday, November 3rd, 11am-11pm and Sunday, November 4th, 11am-6pm.
