Tom drove his Jeep from Toronto Ontario Canada, to spend Canadian Thanksgiving on LBI. When he learned he could drive on the beach he purchased a pass from the township and loved every minute of it!

Surf City’s 4th Annual Trunk or Treat event will be held on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 from 6pm-8pm. Trunk or Treat is a fun and safe alternative to traditional trick or treating. The event is geared towards children ages 12 and under, and all trunk or treaters MUST be accompanied by an adult. Treat stops (ie the trunks) will be outside in the firehouse parking lot, so please dress for the weather. Fun activities including balloon twisters, music, snacks and more will be located inside the firehouse.

The 35th Annual Chatsworth Cranberry Festival will take place on October 18th and 19th and is a celebration of New Jersey's cranberry harvest, the 3rd largest in the United States! The Festival is a tribute to the Pine Barrens and its culture, especially that of the cranberry farms.
The focal point of the Festival is the large field across from the White Horse Inn, where many artists & craftsmen will be displaying their art; some will also be demonstrating their crafts as well as offering them for sale. Directly behind the White Horse Inn, across Route 563, is a huge outdoor food court with picnic tables; a band provides music all day long. Admission to the festival is free. A donation of $5.00 will be accepted at the parking area at the school, located off Second Street (just south of Buzby's Chatsworth General Store, on the right).
The festival is located at 3980 Main Street, Chatsworth, NJ 08019 and is presented by The Festival Committee of Chatsworth for the benefit of the restoration and preservation of the White Horse Inn.

Join us at the new Cedar Bonnet Island Environmental Trail on Saturday October 13 from 11:30AM-2:00PM for our 2nd Saturday Clean Up. We’ll provide buckets, gloves, data sheets and any other supplies needed. BYOB (bring your own bucket) is encouraged as well.
All volunteers will be required to sign a waiver for Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge.
Parking is limited so we ask that you car pool or park at the Ship Bottom Boat ramp and you can walk over the trestle bridges to the location. Please exercise safety around busy Rt. 72.
Join us afterwards from 2:30-4:30PM at The Old Causeway Steak & Oyster House for an early happy hour to celebrate the hard work just accomplished.

Join us for the 1st Annual LBT Oyster Shellabration! Being held at Bayview Park on Oct 6th from 12-6pm, the Shellabration will include Oysters, Beer, Wine, Food, Oyster Shucking, Music, Games & Activities for kids.
Tickets will be sold at the event for oysters and beer/wine. Each ticket is worth $1. Oysters will be $2 a piece. Clams $1 a piece. 1st beer will be $6 and you will receive a commemorative mug, subsequent beers will be $5. 1st wine will also be $6 with subsequent wines priced at $5. Food sold by the food vendors will be cash, ATM's will be on premise. Alliance for a Living Ocean will have their refillable water station so please bring your refillable water bottle.
