
A coastal storm will impact our area through Saturday October 27, 2018
Coastal Flooding:
Major coastal Flooding possible on for the southern shores of the Raritan Bay. Moderate coastal flooding is possible for southern portions of Delaware along the Bay and Delaware Beaches, the New Jersey shore and immediate back bays. Minor coastal flooding is possible along the northern shores of the Delaware Bay and tidal portions of the Delaware River.
Winds:
Wind gusts up to 50 to 60 mph are expected along the southern shores of the Raritan Bay and the northern and central New Jersey Atlantic Shore. Along the southern New Jersey Atlantic shore, gusts up to 50 mph are expected. Elsewhere, gusts up to 40 mph are possible, primarily for coastal locations and higher elevations.
Marine:
Storm force winds expected along the northern and central New Jersey coastal waters. Gale force winds expected on the southern New Jersey and Delaware coastal waters as well as Delaware Bay.
Heavy rain:
There is a threat for heavy rain leading to Flash Flooding along the New Jersey coastal areas. There is also a threat for some localized roadway flooding for the remainder of the area tonight into Saturday morning.
COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 3 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* LOCATIONS...Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean Counties.
* TIMING...High tide on the ocean front is between 9 and 10 AM EDT Saturday morning. High tide will occur later on back bays and the Raritan Bay.
